Joe and Wendy Slaughter are the owners and operators of Cedar Key Boat Rentals and Island Tours. Both are natives Cedar Key whose families have been living here for over 6 generations.

Joe is a master licensed captain with more than 40 years of bring and working on Cedar Key's waters. He is a retired fire fighter from the State of Florida and an avid clammer. He also currently serves on Rosewood's Fire Department.

Wendy is the mother of four (ages 7, 14, 20, & 22) daughters and currently works with the Levy County Board of Country Commissioners. When she is not working for the County, Wendy is actively participating with the Cedar Key School where her two youngest daughters currently attend.

The family are members of the Christ Episcopal Church. Joe and Wendy enjoy spending their down time with their daughters fishing, boating, or anything else fun.
